Reznor Celebrates 125-Year Anniversary of comfortable and energy-efficient HVAC

[Mercer, PA/Memphis, TN/Menen, Belgium/Folkstone, UK - Jan 5 2013]  - Reznor is proud to announce the 125 year anniversary of Reznor brand products,  providing comfort and ventilation for indoor air spaces. The Reznor Company was founded in 1888 by inventor and manufacturer George Reznor, following his invention of a heater with a copper reflector that used natural gas. He was a leader in  the HVAC industry, and the company/brand that bears his name today is dedicated to building efficient heating, cooling, and  air quality equipment.

The HVAC industry has changed a lot in the last 125 years. Today the company is a world-wide leader not only in gas fired heating but also in ventilation and air conditioning.  The Reznor team designs and manufactures unit heaters, air handling units, condensing units, heat pumps and other HVAC equipment for industrial and commercial buildings that bring comfort to its users and savings to its owners.

VP Marketing, David Street had this to say about the 125th anniversary, “No HVAC company can exist without support from excellent distributors and installers. And we really have to give a lot of credit to all the dedicated employees that have built Reznor equipment over the past 125 years.  Not only were they building equipment, they were also helping to build a world-wide brand of choice for HVAC professionals. Neither would we still exist without the engineering staff and their ability to innovate and adapt to an ever-changing market by developing new designs.”

From the humble beginnings in a small town garage, today Reznor HVAC equipment is manufactured in six state-of-the-art facilities across North America and Europe for distribution around the world. One of those facilities is still located near George Reznor’s garage in Mercer, PA.
